City of Rockford Minnesota – Belt Press and Biosolids

The city of Rockford, Minnesota contracted with Fergus Power Pump, Inc. to operate their Mobile Andritiz Belt Press. They contracted with us to utilize our belt press as a pilot project to aid in reorganizing their Biosolids Program and aid in economic budget shortages.

During the fall of 2011, Fergus Power Pump Inc. completed the pilot project. Rockford learned that solids separation is a true savings to reduce the number of loads of biosolids hauled to permitted sites.

Fergus Power Pump, Inc. is continuing to provide consulting for economic benefits for dewatering and maintaining an 18 percent solids separation. The city of Rockford in Minnesota is now reorganizing their Biosolids Program to implicate the use of a mobile belt press unit.
